Can you be "undiagnosed" with diabetes?

In 2007 I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes by the VA hospital in my area. My blood sugar was running at just over 200 the day I got tested. In the past three years, without taking any form of medication, my blood sugar has never come back higher then 145. When I oriiginally got diagnosed I was leading an extremely unhelathy lifetsyle, eating fast food pretty much three meals a day and drinking 2-3 times a week. I am currently trying to get a job overseas and I read that diabetes is an automatic disqualifier for overseas contractor jobs, but since I have been running a good blood sugar number I am curious if the diagnosis can be reversed.
