Are these symptoms on diabetes?

my son was 9 when he got diabetes and the reason i kind of suspected him to have diabetes was because he was thirsty all of the time and when he talked i could hear how dry his mouth was. when we went to the docs they tested his pee and he had diabetes he lost a lot of weight too, best just to get it looked at it only takes a second and it might not be that but the longer you leave it if you do have it you will just fell worse and worse- good luck though
